Hello! I'm Antoine, and I've been a photographer long enough to be able to talk to you about elopement. I know it's a new term that not many couples are familiar with. I am here to help you answer your questions, and to be able to create with you the most beautiful elopement!
In France, there is no guide as extensive as this one, and when you start organizing the ceremony, it is easy to get lost. That's why I've written this +30-page guide that will help you project yourself into the ceremony of your dreams!
It is in 5 important steps, which it is best to follow, in addition to increased communication with the elopement photographer you have chosen.
This step is crucial because it allows you to visualize what you would like for your ceremony. Write down all your thoughts; even those which you believe to be unrealizable. It's a reflection to be done together, in a quiet space, with just the two of you.
The Guide will be useful to you, because it will ask you interesting questions about your moment of reflection together, I let you download my free guide on elopement!
The goal is simply to have a global vision of what you could have during your elopement. Be fun, think of activities you've never done, places you've never visited.
The impossible is possible.
Generally, it is at stage 1 or 2 that most couples contact me. I am here, putting your blurred vision into a concrete plan through my experience!
Once you have a clear vision of your day, Step 2 is the deepening by researching what is feasible and what is not.
The purpose of this level is to be sure that the elopement you have been thinking about can become a reality in the best possible way. You might even finalize a few details.
As for the previous step, I suggest that you do it in a calm and serene place to carry out the research. Look on the Internet, Instagram or Pinterest; The library is a good way to find what you want while having a good coffee;)
What to think about when planning:
- What are the laws and requirements in the chosen location?
- Is the place easily accessible? Do you need a permit to do the ceremony or photos?
- What is the weather like in general? When is the best time to go, and how do you prepare?
- What activities do you want to do?
If you have trouble finding the answers or feel lost, ask me for help, don't be afraid. It's normal to need help when you want to create the elopement of your dreams – it happens once in a lifetime, and you have the right to celebrate your love in the most incredible way possible. This is when couples are MOST likely to ask me for help with their elopement ideas.
Now that you've decided what's important to you and the search went well, it's time to make choices and start booking!
The goal of this step is not to finalize every detail, but to set up the most important so that you can focus on the details after = step 4.
To get started, the date and place are important.
Think about the dates that make your two souls vibrate. Does a date work well with the place you have chosen? Can guests come on this date? Don't forget to look at the holidays (of both countries), but also the events that happen in the country you are going to. For the location, decide on the general location where you want to do the ceremony; The exact place where you say "I do" can be in the moment, spontaneously. Be sure of the general location to be able to book the accommodation and the way to get there.
Once you've done that – the date, the place, the accommodation booking – the most stressful part is over. Take a break and celebrate the start of this new adventure, tell your friends and family (if you wish), and all you must do is wait for the next step!
You're in the final stages of planning your elopement, and it's getting really exciting!
Step 4 is to focus on all the details; The most important one has been put in place.
There's a lot to check at this stage – so I wrote it down as a checklist! I suggest you do it little by little; Put a deadline on your calendar or keep it as a to-do list.

SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:
- Buy and gather all the clothes and accessories.
- Book your service providers.
- Book the activities you are going to do during your day.
- Create your schedule for the day.
The day before your elopement is used to rest, think of nothing, and sleep early. The next day is important!
You did it! All that hard work of thinking, researching, and planning is over. All you must do is appreciate what you've been building for so long!
Don't think about anything but your partner, and let emotions float around you. Enjoy every moment of your day, and don't worry about what you may look like. Don't stress – if the experience is cool, so will the photos.
When you return home, finally tell your family and friends! Have a party, a huge barbecue, dinner or a large reception surrounded by your loved ones. Remember to choose an album by your photographer (for me, it's automatically included!), so that you can relive your dream elopement.
